Clearway Gritting operates safe and environmentally friendly gritting services.
Clearway Gritting annually renew their International Standard Organisation (ISO) accreditation in preparation for the winter gritting season. According to the International Standard Organisation (ISO) website these international standards and accreditations ‘provide requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials products, processes and services are fit for their purpose.’
Clearway Gritting has been awarded ISO accreditations for three key business areas – Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety.
Clearway Gritting offer a quality winter gritting service
The ISO 9001 Certification illustrates our commitment to providing clients across the south east of England with a quality gritting service. Since 2015 we have introduced an enhanced management system that includes a bespoke Complaints Management Module so we can resolve any issues quickly and effectively.
Clearway Gritting applies environmental considerations when gritting
Our ISO 14001 accreditation shows Clearway Gritting always consider the environmental issues within our winter maintenance service programme. To gain the accreditation we had to show that our gritting services were set up to consider the environmental impact. For example through the machinery we use and our salt sources.
Clearway Gritting offer a safe and healthy working environment
Our ISO 18001 accreditation for health & safety was achieved because we offer a safe and healthy working environment for Clearway Gritting colleagues and clients.
Peter Boniface – Operations Manager, Clearway Gritting, St Albans, Hertfordshire, said: ‘Our clients and Clearway Gritting colleagues should be reassured that we operate safe and environmentally friendly gritting services given we have achieved the relevant International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) accreditation in quality, environmental and health & safety. The accreditation supports us in delivering cost savings through improved operational and gritting efficiency and reduced operational risk.’
