As we approach the start of the new winter gritting season Clearway Gritting, based in St Albans is celebrating its fifteenth season of providing winter gritting services to a range of clients across the south east of England.
Clearway Gritting now has the largest centralised winter gritting and snow clearing fleet in the south east.
Our 40 spreaders and 80+ snow ploughs are located in seven depots across the south east of England, so we are close to all our customers if they require us to clear heavy snow and grit their premises. All bar one of our depots are located outside the M25 because it is this area of the south east that is generally colder and gets worse weather during the winter months.

We started offering winter gritting services when we were called out by a company in St Albans who was looking for a gritting contractor to help with snow clearance. We started out offering winter gritting services in Hertfordshire. As more companies became interested in our services we gradually opened a further six depots across London and the South East and we now also service clients in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.'
