Peter Boniface, Operations Manager, Clearway Gritting, St Albans, Hertfordshire said:
‘Our customers are located throughout the south east of England and we provide winter gritting services to clients in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and London from our depots above. Our 36 spreaders and 74 snow ploughs are strategically located in depots across the south east of England so we can reach all our customers quickly when heavy snow falls are forecast. We are located outside the M25 as this is the area that tends to be colder and get more snow during the winter months.’
Peter Boniface, Operations Manager, Clearway Gritting specialist St Albans continued:
‘Whilst we were basking in the recent heatwave it is easy to forget the severity and duration of last winter and the ‘Beast from the East.’ If these extreme weather conditions continue should we be expecting more snow this winter? Although it is too early to predict the long-range weather for this winter we would recommend any business concerned about their winter gritting requirements and looking to employ a gritting contractor gives us a call on 01727 851837. Now is a good time to plan your winter maintenance and the first snowfall may only be three months away. If you are choosing a gritting contractor for the first time it is important to discuss how many vehicles your contractor owns and more importantly where they operate from. You need to be reassured that if the snowfall is as heavy as last winter the gritting contractor you hire has the right equipment to service your premises and that their depot is based close to your business.’
